Program Overview
The program is a specialised, weekly program, running each school term, aimed at developing the skills of young footballers under the guidance of Newcastle Jets-trained coaches.
It’s open to all players, no matter their playing experience or skill level.
Open to kids aged 6 – 12, the Newcastle Jets Skills Program will see your child spend an hour with Newcastle Jets trained coaches each week, improving their football skills and confidence in a controlled and comfortable environment.
Program Structure
- 8 weeks of high-quality coaching during
- A full Newcastle Jets Skills Program kit, including a shirt, shorts, socks and a spray jacket.
- Complimentary 2023/24 Junior Newcastle Jets Membership
- Child’s name will be placed in a draw for the chance to win a signed Newcastle Jets jersey.
- Opportunity to be identified for the Pre-Academy program.
In Term 4, 2023 we will be introducing a new and improved training kit which will have a closer resemblance to the kit our A-League Men’s and Women’s players wear. For all returning participants for the Term 4 program, this new kit will be slowly phased in and whilst encouraged it will not become compulsory until Term 1, 2024.
Recommended Ages
The program is open for kids aged 6 – 12 (turning 6 – 12 in 2023), and is open to both boys and girls who will train together throughout the entirety of the program.

FIRST SESSION: Monday, October 23
LAST SESSION: Monday, December 11
TOTAL SESSIONS: 8 weeks
TIME: 4.30pm – 5.30pm (both age groups will run at the same time)
AGE GROUPS: 6 – 8 Yrs and 9 – 12 Yrs
LOCATION: Grass Field – Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility, 13a Park Rd, Speers Point
COST: The total cost for the program is $290 ($240 with Active Kids voucher) for 8 weeks – even less if a returning participant with a current kit, payable upfront.
