Craig Deans has made two changes to the squad set to tackle the Wanderers at McDonald Jones Stadium tomorrow night.
Skipper Nigel Boogaard returns from suspension while youngster Jack Simmons has been added to the bench.
The Jets are coming off a narrow 1-0 loss away to the Mariners last week and the addition of the experienced Boogaard will help bolster the home side’s backline.
There was some promising signs for the club’s first outing for 2020/21, most notably the classy debut performance of Ramy Najjarine and the impressive game from youngster Lucas Mauragis who came into the game early after Jason Hoffman was subbed out with injury.
Western Sydney lost their season opener at home to newcomers Macarthur 1-0 and will be keen to get their first win for the season.
The match has some added spice with former Jets coach, Carl Robinson, returning to the Hunter for the first time since leaving the club during the preseason. Wantaway forward, Bernie Ibini, will also return to McDonald Jones Stadium after departing the club in mid-December.
