Newcastle Jets have been boosted by the return of energetic midfielder Ramy Najjarine from injury.
The 20-year-old has missed several weeks with an ankle injury but is poised to return for Sunday’s A-League double header against Adelaide at McDonald Jones Stadium on Sunday.
Coach Craig Deans is confident Najjarine is ready to make his comeback but veteran Jet Jason Hoffman is at least another week away.
“Ramy is available,” Deans said.
“Hoff is probably another week away. His is soft tissue. A bit more cautious with him.
“Ramy has trained well this week and a little bit last week, as well.
“He comes into calculations.”
