Newcastle Jets are pleased to announce that the City of Newcastle has renewed it’s partnership with the Club for another Westfield W-League season.

Under the agreement, the back of both the Westfield W-League home and away jerseys will display the iconic ‘Newcastle – See Change’ tourism logo.

Craig Deans’ side will also continue to play a number of Westfield W-League fixtures at the inner-city No.2 Sportsground, with the exact number currently TBC.

This comes after two appearances at the suburban stadium last year led to outstanding results for the side, with a 3-1 win against Perth in January backed up by a 4-1 victory over Western Sydney in February.

“We’re really pleased City of Newcastle are supporting us for the third year in a row,” Westfield W-League Head Coach, Craig Deans said.

“No.2 Sportsground is a fantastic venue and I know all the players love calling it their home.

“The support of the City of Newcastle to us in the Westfield W-League is crucial and we can’t thank them enough for joining us for season 2019/20.”

Newcastle Lord Mayor, Nuatali Nelmes said the City was proud to get behind the Jets once again this year.

“Newcastle is renowned for is sporting passion and we are proud to support our community by signing on as major sponsors of the Newcastle Jets W-League team for the third consecutive year,” the Lord Mayor said.

“Through the work they do off-field and their performances throughout the season, the players, coaches and support staff involved in the Newcastle Jets W-League are fantastic role models for our next generation of footballers, and wonderful ambassadors for our city as a whole.

“On top of that, we’re delighted that the Westfield W-League side will continue to use No.2 Sportsground as their training base and we can’t wait to see the girls back in action come November.”
