It’s Round 2 of the inaugural E-League and the Newcastle Jets will face off with the Brisbane Roar, as Bohdan ‘BLfifa’ Ling and Dane ‘Bossierhickory8’ Crow look to make their mark on the competition.
See below for a brief summary on how the E-League works.
It will be the first time the Jets have had a full complement for the E-League, as Bohdan makes his official debut after missing Round 1.
The boys will be looking to bounce back after a tough loss to the Western Sydney Wanderers in the competition’s opening round (1 – 5), as Crow was forced to play on both consoles, as per the competitions absentee rule.

Both players were looking forward to representing their home club in the inaugural competition.
Ling said the E-League would be a great test of his FIFA skills as he takes on some of the best in the country.
“I saw the Expression of Interest online and thought it would be a great opportunity to take my game to the next level, and I was lucky enough to be selected,” said Ling.
“To be able to represent the Jets is an amazing opportunity and something I’m really excited about.
“The matchups will be a tough, we’re going up against some of the best players in our region – but I’m looking forward to it.”
With the experience of last week’s opening round, Crow will be showing his new teammate the ropes during Round 2.
Crow said he was better for the run from last week, and was now more comfortable with the idea of playing FIFA live on-air.
“I was pretty nervous leading into the match, but once I got into the swing of the game I felt good,” said Crow.
“It’s an interesting experience hearing people commentating on your gameplay, but you just have to shut it and not let it bother you.
“It’s a strong competition but if you want to improve you have to play against the best – I really enjoyed last week despite the tough result.
“I’ve lived in Newcastle a long time and I’ve supported the Jets from the beginning and I’m really proud to represent the town.”

How does it work?
In conjunction with all 10 Hyundai A-League clubs – the FFA have will oversee nine weeks of EA SPORTS FIFA18 gameplay with clubs battling it out in league-style play on both the PS4 and XBOX consoles.
Players will compete on FIFA18 FIFA Ultimate Team and must include at least three Hyundai A-League players from their respective clubs.
The aggregate scores from the PS4 leg and XBOX leg for each team will be used to determine the ladder standings and the A-League club that finishes in first place will be crowned the FFA E-League Premiers.
For the individual players a tournament will be conducted after the regular season to determine the E-League Ultimate Champion and secure bragging rights as the best FIFA player in Australia.
