Newcastle Coach Craig Deans has named Ramy Najjarine and Johnny Koutroumbis in the squad to face Central Coast Mariners on Saturday.
The pair are in the mix to make their returns from injury this weekend.
Koutroumbis was a late scratching from last week’s 1-1 win over Sydney FC with a lower back issue, while Najjarine has missed several weeks with an ankle complaint.

“Johnny’s had the last two sessions. He had a back spasm before the game last week which ruled him out,” Deans said.
“He’s done the last two sessions fully, which is a good sign.
“Ramy’s done a whole week of training with no restrictions for the first time in five or six weeks, so they’re both available for the squad.
“I’m sure I’ll find a way to get them in.”
