Newcastle Jets are pleased to announce Jack Duncan has extended his contract with the Club for a further three seasons.

Currently enjoying his third stint with the Club, Duncan has established himself as a premier gloveman in the A-League competition.

“He’s an experienced keeper,” Jets Football Manager, Joel Griffiths said.

“It’s a very important position and he’s a big part of our plans moving forward. We believe Jack will excel over the next three years.

“He’s a quality keeper and a loyal person. Having Jack in this team will be vital in building sustained success moving forward.”

Having made his A-League debut for the Jets in 2011, Duncan has represented the Jets on over 50 occasions and enjoyed stints with Perth and more recently, Al Qadsiah FC in the Saudi Professional League.

The 27-year-old said the decision to extend his contract was an easy call to make.

“I’ve always enjoyed my team playing for Newcastle and the decision for me to stay on longer was an easy one,” Duncan said.

“I’m very privileged to play for this Club and look forward to a couple more year of success on the pitch.

“Deansy was my first coach when I came into the youth team 10 years ago. To work under him again is something I enjoy and have a great relationship with him.

“The enjoyment side of things is there and Newcastle has become my home. The opportunity to continue doing something I love in my hometown makes it even sweeter.”

The new contract keeps the former Young Socceroo tied to the Club for the 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons.
