The Newcastle Jets have passed the 8,000 mark as they continue to push towards their goal of 11,000 Members for next season.

The Hunter Ports Newcastle Jets have passed the 8,000 mark as they continue to push towards their goal of 11,000 Members for the 2012/13 A-League season.

Jets number eight Ruben Zadkovich said it was pleasing to see the way the Newcastle football community has got behind the Club.

“It-s awesome. Last year we had a really good Membership and that spurred us on during the season,” Zadkovich said.

“To have 8,000 Members already at this stage is a great indication that the fans and the town are right behind us.

“That-s massive for us because it means the world to have those supporters there in the stadium, cheering you on. It-s like having an extra player on your team.

“We-re very excited to have 8,000 and hopefully we can get a few more and really push towards that goal of 11,000 Members before the season starts.”

The 2012/13 Membership packages offer exceptional value and remain at the same affordable price as last season, with a Community Reserved Membership starting at as little as $115 for an Adult, $60 for a Child and $260 for Families.

Those who make the Membership commitment can look forward to some fantastic inclusions, including access to all 13 Jets home games, an exclusive Member cap and blister pack containing a 2012/13 Member lanyard, keyring, sticker sheet and magnetic fixture.

With over 10,000 Members last season, the Jets achieved the second highest Membership in the A-League and this year are targeting 11,000 Members with this year-s “Every Goal Matters- campaign.
