Newcastle midfielder Liridon Krasniqi has been selected for the Malaysian National Team.
Saturday's match against Central Coast will be the last he is available to play for the Jets as he will link with the Malaysian team ahead of World Cup Qualifier preparations next week.
On loan from Johor Darul Ta'zim, Krasniqi linked with the Jets mid-season where he has featured via the bench.
While Krasniqi has previously represented Albania and Kosovo on the international stage, he received his Malaysian citizenship in 2020.
Krasniqi posted on Instagram: "Just wanna share a Dream which came true today.
"Ever since I started my football career in Malaysia, it has been a dream to represent a country that have shaped my career as a professional football career for the past few years.
"To receive my first call up for World Cup Qualifiers from Malaysia national Team definitely gives me a great pride and joy and I am beyond humbled and grateful for the opportunity to represent Malaysia to the best of my abilities in the international arena."
