Ramy Najjarine netted a stunning goal in Australia U23’s 2-1 loss in their friendly against Republic of Ireland.
Scoreless at the break, Australia were well in the contest before a Jay Rich-Baghuelou own goal.
Najjarine evened the ledger but a 90th minute Ross Tierney header ruined the party.
Najjarine’s Jets teammates Luka Prso and Connor O’Toole each saw game time in the match.
Australia’s Marbella Training Camp will see them take part in three more friendlies over the coming days. Their next assignment is a meeting with fellow Asian nation Saudi Arabia.
