Millar showed the calmness of a striker to hold off his man and dink his shot over an onrushing Paul Izzo to bag his fourth of the campaign.
With wind in the sails, the Jets made it three just moments later with what was a slick passage of play. Bobby Burns charged down the left-hand side and somehow managed to get his cross off from the left, under immense pressure from an Adelaide defender.
Steven Ugarkovic had busted a gut to get into the box for the cross, and his header from more than 15 yards out rocketed into the back of the net to make it three.
A debut to Joe Ledley and second ever Hyundai A-League appearance for Maki Petratos, as well as a squandered one-on-one opportunity from Millar, marked the remainder of the match.
