Newcastle Jets can confirm that Matt Ridenton has agreed to mutually terminate his contract to allow the midfielder to pursue other playing opportunities.
The Club would like to apologise to Matt for the media release before this process was finalised and appreciate his professionalism throughout this and also allowing the club to free up a visa spot.
“I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Newcastle and wish the club all the best in the future,” Ridenton said.
Newcastle Jets CEO, Lawrie McKinna thanked Matt for his service.
“We wish Matt all the very best in his future endeavours and would like to thank him for his efforts at the Club.”
