With the Hyundai A-League 2018/19 season now behind us, we’re taking a look back on the season in numbers.
This week, we’re featuring six key numbers from the campaign of captain, Nigel Boogaard.

2144 – With 24 appearances in the Hyundai A-League for the Jets this season, the captain managed a massive 2,144 minutes on the pitch this season.
25 – Desperation in defence is the cornerstone of Boogs’ game and this year was no difference, with the defender making 25 blocks – just one fewer than Nikolai Topor-Stanley’s team-high 26.
833 – From desperation in defence to precision passing – Boogaard found feet with 833 completed passes throughout the Hyundai A-League 2018/19 season.
1136 – Talk about being involved in the play! Our number 4 boasted 1,136 possessions throughout the season, the third-highest of any player in the Jets side.
24 – Boogs missed just three games this season and featured in the league a total of 24 times – his highest number of single-season appearances for the Jets since joining in the 2015/16 season.
56 – Play smarter, not harder… right? It worked for our centre-back this season, with Boogaard forcing 56 turnovers.
