With the Westfield W-League draw released last week, Jets fans now know when and where they can catch their superstars in action.
From our home at No.2 Sportsground, to double-headers at McDonald Jones Stadium and away trips all across the country it promises to be another big season for Craig Deans and his Jets.
We’ve narrowed the draw down to three matches you cannot afford to miss this season.
Round 2: Melbourne Victory
After kicking off the Westfield W-League season with a bye, the first chance fans will get to see the Newcastle Jets in competitive action will be in Round 2.
It’s the first of two Newcastle Jets matches to be broadcast LIVE on Fox Sports this season, when they travel south to take on Melbourne Victory.
Every other team will have had the chance to put points on the board, and after sitting out the opening week your Jets will be raring to go at Lakeside Stadium.
It’ll be the first chance to see new recruit Larissa Crummer in action, and how much more defensive solidity she can bring to the tight backline of Craig Deans’ side.
We enjoyed success in our only encounter with Victory last season, winning 3-1 in late-December. Tori Huster, Katie Stengel and Hannah Brewer all scored goals on that day.

Melbourne Victory v Newcastle Jets

Round 3: Canberra United
Round 3 is the first chance the people of Newcastle will have to come out and support the Jets at No.2 Sportsground this season.
In a move campaigned for by the players themselves, there will be four matches played out of No.2 Sportsground this season.
What’s more, this clash will come just days after the Matildas have taken on Chile at McDonald Jones Stadium which means the likes of Emily van Egmond will play two games on home soil in the same week.
You might remember the last time we played against Canberra United in the Westfield W-League; it was that 5-1 win down in the nation’s capital which sealed us passage to last year’s Finals Series.
This match will also stand as a return to Newcastle for two former Jets; Nikola Orgill and Natasha Prior, who both signed for Canberra in early-August.

No.2 Sportsground
Round 10: Sydney FC
It’ll be ten rounds before we meet our semi-final foes Sydney FC this season, but what a match this is already shaping up to be.
Of course, the Sky Blues beat a 10-woman Jets 3-2 in extra-time in last season’s Semi-Final and the Jets will be out to get one back on Sydney’s home turf.
Sydney boasts some of the nation’s best footballers, with the likes of Lisa De Vanna, Chloe Logarzo, and Caitlin Foord and will prove tough opposition.
Our closest Westfield W-League rival and a history of tough matches over the stretch, there’s set to be plenty of feeling in this one.
The match will be televised live on Fox Sports as it’s part of a Westfield W-League and Hyundai A-League double header, which means Jets fans have the option of travelling down to Sydney or watching from home.
