Newcastle Jets W-League Head Coach, Craig Deans has been able to retain a fairly settled squad ahead of Saturday’s first Westfield W-League home match.

Emily van Egmond and Gema Simon will return to the squad after their endeavours with the national team this past week, having each played a part against Chile at some stage.

FIVE THINGS: What to know ahead of Saturday night

One of Newcastle’s biggest personalities, Hannah Brewer will return to the squad and is a chance to play her first match of the Westfield W-League 2018/19 season, having served her one-match suspension from last year’s Semi Final against Sydney FC.

She’ll come into the squad for Australian international, Larissa Crummer who suffered a quad injury in the Round 2 defeat to Melbourne Victory but is on the road to recovery.

That means Cassidy Davis will require a new partner at the centre of defence, with Brewer the most likely option to come in alongside her.

After coming on against Victory for her Westfield W-League debut, Teigan Collister is one woman who will be pushing hard to earn her second appearance be it in the starting XI or off the bench once again.
