McDonald Jones Stadium
Known as Marathon Stadium, EnergyAustralia Stadium, Ausgrid Stadium and even Hunter Stadium since the formation of (then) Newcastle United, McDonald Jones Stadium has been the home of the Newcastle Jets for the entirety of their A-League history.
Newcastle has played all but one home fixture at the stadium since the 2005-06 season, with the record Jets crowd currently sitting at 29,410: the 2018 Hyundai A-League Grand Final against Melbourne Victory.
McDonald Jones Stadium is also home to the Newcastle Knights rugby league team, and has hosted a variety of events in the past including rugby union, baseball, and motor cross.
McDonald Jones Stadium is just 1.5km from Broadmeadow Train Station, which provides an easy option for fans who are looking to use public transport. Bus 27 is the optimal route for fans looking to catch the bus to games, stopping on the nearby corner of Young and Turton Road.
For inter-state fans, Newcastle Airport services all of Australia’s capital cities. More information on the airport’s services, including rental car information and public transport options can be found here.
Those that live close enough to McDonald Jones Stadium to drive are able to purchase parking on the Western side of the venue, or find readily available parking in the surrounding suburbs.
