Returning to the club that handed him his A-league debut back in the 2009/10 season the flying Iraq international brings with him invaluable experience and strong leadership qualities.
Abbas, known originally as being a dynamic winger that can beat defenders with ease, has developed his game in the latter stages of his career and can be utilised in a central role using his composure and calmness with the ball at his feet.
He has the ability to pick out a pass and unlock defences.
He is an integral member of the Jets squad and will prove to be an important part of the Jets dressing room.
