Biography

24. Connor O’Toole (Sydney): Born to an Irish father and Japanese mother, O’Toole’s pathway to the A-League took a slightly different route.

Before his brief youth spell with Adelaide United and then signing with fellow A-League outfit Brisbane Roar in 2016, O’Toole spent three of his High School years attending the prestigious Seiritsu Gakuen in Tokyo.

It was there he developed his football skills, a school which fellow Australian defender Jason Davidson also once attended.

O’Toole went on to make his A-League debut for the Roar on the November 11, 2017 seeing out a 1-1 draw with Melbourne Victory at Etihad Stadium.

He would then go on to make a further 31 A-League appearances for the Roar before signing with the Jets mid-way through the 2019/20 A-League season.

A promising young talent, O’Toole has represented Australia at both U-20 and U-23 level and with further development and opportunity at the Jets he will be hoping to stake a claim at senior international level.
